Reflecting on these past seven years, I am filled with pride for the strides we’ve made and the difference we’ve created in the lives of those we serve. But there is still so much more to do.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE COMMUNITY IMPACT
We have distributed over 1.5 million JMD (~$10,000 USD) in book certificates so the students can purchase their school books each year
We awarded 3 PEP scholarships worth 600,000 JMD (~$,4000 USD) for 3 students. Each student is currently receiving a 5 year scholarship of 40,000 JMD per year to pay towards their school fees, books, and supplies along with a Chromebook and a School Bag full of supplies
We established libraries at two Infant Schools, Woodford & Grove Primary. In partnership with Book Smiles and Food for the Poor we sent over 20,000 children's books to Jamaica impacting 8 schools across the island. Our goal for 2025 is to increase the number of books distributed to 30,000. For 2025, we need to raise $2,500 USD for a new shipment to distribute books to additional schools around the island. Click here to donate.
For Grove Primary & Infant School, we provided 2 desktop computers, 4 tablets, and a reading rug for the students
We proudly contributed to bridging the digital divide at Woodford Primary and Infant School by purchasing a TV, two desktop computers, four tablets for the students, and a laptop for a teacher. Additionally, we provided the paint used for the exterior of the infant school building and a day-bed to enhance the school's facilities.

To date we have given away 111 Computer Tablets and 26 Chromebooks

We have paid school fees for infant and high school students since 2019
We continue to provide toys & other supplies to four local schools

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IMPACT
In 2021, the Dickens family donated and refurbished the building for Bridgeview Foundation to created a Homework Center equipped with books, 13 desktop computers, tables and chairs. The Internet is sponsored by Jamaica Flow Foundation. Click here to view pictures from the project.
For both 2024 and 2025, we covered the cost of mammograms and transportation for 20 women each year in our community. Our mission for 2026 is to double that impact, reaching 40 women. Every $100 donation sponsors one woman in need, helping us provide essential screenings and access to care. Join us in making a difference! Click here to donate.
In 2021, we established a goat donation and exchange program. To date, about 10 students have received a goat to foster entrepreneurship in the community. Bridgeview donates one goat and as the herd increases, the recipients must "pay it forward" by donating a goat back to the foundation for another child in the community. In 2024, we received a success story of one student increasing his herd to 5 goats! Click here to donate and provide a goat to a deserving student.
In 2023, we launched a plastic bottle recycling project to promote sustainability and support our community. Thanks to its tremendous growth, the recycling plant now sends a truck directly to our neighborhood to collect bottles. The funds generated from this initiative help cover the phone bill at our Homework Center, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed. In 2021, Bridgeview took a significant step toward improving sanitation by building and painting the first and only community garbage skip for the Maryland, Jamaica community. This initiative has helped create a cleaner and healthier environment for residents. Click here to view pictures from the project.
In 2023, we completed a Community Fence Project at the Maryland Soccer Field to prevent balls from disturbing nearby residents. This improvement has helped create a more enjoyable and respectful environment for both players and the community. Click here to view pictures from the project.
In 2020 and 2021, de-bushing was sponsored by Bridgeview Foundation to make the only road for the Maryland community safer and easy to travel. Click here to view video and pictures from the project.
In 2021 and 2022, we provided essential support to four churches in the Maryland and Woodford communities by supplying food, clothing, shoes, and toys. This initiative helped bring relief and joy to many families in need. Click here to view pictures from the project.
In 2020, Bridgeview's founder generously donated labor and supplies to repair the main bridge in Maryland. The repairs enhanced the safety and accessibility of the community especially for kids and the elderly. This vital improvement has helped ensure a more secure passage for residents.
