In 2019, The Founder George Dickens decided to expand his efforts to uplift Maryland District, St. Andrew Jamaica by soliciting the support of donors and sponsors. Mr. Dickens has years of determination, adoration, and loyalty for the community where he was born and raised. Because of the overwhelming support he received for the Back-to-School event, The Bridgeview Foundation Inc was established in New Jersey as a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization in February 2021.
Mr. Dickens is a carpenter, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist. In the capacity of a carpenter, he has taught over fifty individuals the trade he loves. He is a business owner, and over time his philanthropic nature has led him to strive for ways to uplift, improve, and give back to the community.

Mr. Dickens has always sought ways to bring his community together. In 1985, he organized a road race in the community of Maryland. As time goes by, he also served as manager for the Maryland football team, Cricket team, and Domino club. In 2015, he hosted the Dickens Family Back-to-School event, where he treated the children with food, refreshments, a bouncy house, bull-back riding, merry-go-round, and other fun-filled activities.

The success and outpouring support of this event was a motivating factor in making it a yearly event to give back to the community and youth of Maryland. Out of this came the inspiration to do more through the Bridgeview Foundation Inc.
It is Mr.Dickens' hope that someday Maryland will become the shining city on the hill.
OUR MOTTO
"Bringing Meaningful Change"
OUR VISION
Bridging the gap between children and parents in the community through educational assistance, recreational activities, and community development.
TWO BRIDGES IN THE COMMUNITY.
Here are the two bridges in the community of Maryland, the inspiration for the name "Bridgeview Foundation." The construction date for the old rustic bridge is still to be determined. However, the community elders affirmed that the current bridge was built in 1962 and opened in 1963. These bridges are significant pieces of the community. For our foundation, it symbolizes each F.A.M.I.L.Y coming together to bridge the gap and make meaningful changes in our community.
MARYLAND RIVER
Mammee (Maryland) River flows through the entire community and meets with the Gordon River to form the Hope River.
MARYLAND FOOTBALL FIELD
This is the location of some our recreational activities.
